I'm just thrilled that the band has done so many new things at the Fox this weekend. For many years now, the band has used the Beacon as their yearly workshop, getting new songs together and getting everything set for that year's tour. If they didn't play it at the Beacon, they probably weren't going to play it that year. Now here we are in September, and the band is putting a drum solo in Black Hearted Woman of all places, and busting out Blue Sky and Les Brers in A Minor at the same show! Yet another sign of the creativity and vitality this band has right now. 2/3 of the way through, I think it is pretty clear that the Fox should become a vearly event. As an Atlanta resident and former Fox usher, I have been deeply pleased to see all the out-of-towners oohing and aahing over our pride and joy It has been great to meet so many Hittin' the Note subscribers and/or website regulars, and the general vibe and atmosphere have been fantastic, not to mention the music! Let's do it again, same time, next year!
