Ate a wonderful meal at the H&H today before venturing off to the Ocmulgee Indian Mounds where I climbed the tallest mound and said a little prayer for Derek Hirsch. Across the river lay Macon with all of its history and ABB lore. This is a sacred place, these mounds, and not a lot is known about those that lived here so long ago. But I believe that there are special places on earth that one can go to connect with the Divine and this is one of them... The entire site was aflame with butterflies and this in a very bad year for them here and I was surprised to even see one. They were all over! I remember reading somewhere that a butterfly flaps its wings and that pressure turns into a hurricane halfway across the world. Everything is connected. So perhaps those wings were all lifting my prayer upwards... I'd like to think so anyway.
