Koko Taylor lost her bass player, I think, in a van accident a few years ago which laid her up for months. Being the trooper she is, I think she came out on stage on crutches until she recovered.
Then there was Cliff Burton from Metallica, the bass player who Jason Newsted replaced after Burton was thrown from their van and killed somewhere in Scandinavia, I think.
And there are many casualties, as we all know too well...as many have said previously (including myself) Derek, PLEASE do not go anywhere near a motorcycle....
