Haven't heard from him since he sent some goodies to my mailbox several weeks ago, Stephanie, but I sure thought about him a lot yesterday. I'm finally able to listen to music and drive at night after battling this vertigo nuisance, been listening to Widespread Panic to investigate the attraction of some folks I respect to this music. It's OK, better than most, but last night I reached under the dash and put in whatever I grabbed first. Warehouse, 9/16/71, from Gerald, one of the first pieces of music I ever received via this site. I met gpm in Macon and I can't keep track of the music with which he's blessed me over the years. Truly humbling. I noticed something that should have been obvious. As in the other live Duane shows I have, Duane begins with all slide. He then shifts to regular lead and you can hear him retune. None of this variety of guitars like in today's touring bands. Duane apparently used one guitar per show, and retuned from open E to standard on the fly. Sorry to ramble.... EAPFP
