Hello to all!!!:hiya: I am a few days late posting about Post Gazette.....but I'm still in a daze. My birthday weekend is something I will NEVER forget!! It all Started with Sister Lana and "neice" Sheyenne and Amy and a new friend Chris arriving here early sat morning. Actually it started Fri. with the Matt Barranti band playing at the Keystone Bar and what a show it was!!!!! Lots of Great gifts from friends and everyone that is special to me and Frank being there. We had loving caring friends with us the whole weekend and it just doesn't get any better that that to have all your favorite people around you at the same time.Carly ,Tracey, Jason, Pat and Lisa, Melissa, Dan and Ed and Jeff. WOW!! What a great feeling !!!!!!The "surprise" of Karen and Lynn was too much to handle. My ear is still ringing from Lana screaming in delight at the sight of them "popping"in at the parking lot party. Thank you Karen and Lynn. Jim Benjamin sitting at our bar before the caravan to Post Gazette was a TREAT!!!!! He sat there for 15 minutes before saying anything !!!!!YOU STINKER. I was so busy I didn't see him and he just sat there waiting for the right moment to surprise us!!!!!! Thank you Jim. It was soooo great to see you again. Dave Ashton and Jeff Koch and Kathleen and everyone else that showed up!! Bill Proudfoot too. Great to see you my friend and everyone else I may have not mentioned. Of course,Sundays show was just too good for words!! It is unbelievable how Derek just keeps gettig better and better. Wow!!!!! I am so thankful for our seat upgrade!!!! A tremendous gift from Lana for my birthday!! THAK YOU ,THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! We met Kirk and Burt and everyone in the band except for Greg and Butch.We did meet Mrs. Gregg Allman and she is a sweetheart. There is something that everyone needs to know.....There is sooooooo much love, respect and consideration for everyone in the band and the stagehands.I thought it would be more "businesslike" before and during a show. It is Business but they all have FUN doing it! It was also so sweet to see the love and affection Gregg and Stacey have for each other. Every show we see, we always wonder what Derek and Warren are saying to each other to make themselves crack up on stage.......well.......it's not what they are saying..it's Mark making faces at them !!!!!!!He is so full of energy, he's like a little jumping jack. He seems to bring a lot of fun to the show with him!!!! Jaimoe is so much fun also!! Thanks for the little "dance" !!!!!! They are a very hard working band and I have a whole new respect and admiration for all of them. We had the BEST weekend of our lives and I will never ,ever, forget it. Thank you Lana and Kirk for everything. We love you Lana and Sheyenne and Amy and are so glad to have met Chris. I really miss the "kids" giggling themselves to sleep and waking up giggling some more. I miss that sound. You brought a lot of happiness to this family this weekend. I am soooooooo looking forward to Lanaroo2. I am still working on Frank for Raleigh and Charlotte. It might just be Frankie and me or even just me. If that ok with yunz guys!! SEE ya soon!!!!!!
