Jeanne, thank you for asking about me and those in this area (and the others who have written, too). I'm fine, and my house is fine, as well. (Another) Mike has posted pictures from Monday's storm in the forum under "Anything Goes" in the "Rain, rain, go away" thread. You have to scroll down a bit in the thread, but the fifth and sixth pictures down in Mike's post are from that downtown Richmond area. The Canal Club was smack in the middle of the absolute worst of it. I have not heard the status of that club, but that entire area is closed to the public. It can't be good. In perhaps a horrible twist of fate, the flood wall that was built to keep the James River from flooding the downtown area again and again might have actually helped to keep some of this water rushing in from the other direction IN the area. Man, oh, man. (I don't know this for sure; just speculating on what many have said.) Wishing for the best for all of our friends in the path of Frances.
