Hearing that “Dickey Sucks” is one of the sillier comments I’ve ever seen posted in here. Dickey is a legend and he can still play (saw him over the summer and he rocked just like the ABB). If you haven’t seen his band, you owe it to yourself as an Allman Brothers fan to see him and support him. It goes without saying, but Dickey is just as important a part of the ABB lineage as Gregg and Duane are. I don’t see how we, as fans, can go choosing sides in the Dickey/ABB split. Whatever happened is between them. It was unfortunate, but at least we have two bands playing the music we are all fans of. As nice as it would be for everything to be hunky dory, both parties are playing some of the best music they ever have since the original ABB lineup. Clearly both parties are rejuvenated. Go out and enjoy both. Don’t compare, otherwise you will miss the beauty of the music we are being given. Someday (hopefully YEARS from now), we won’t have either band. Let’s enjoy them while we can! I personally love the current lineups both of our bands! Keep it coming guys! Big Windy - I'm with you. I can't wait to get out of work and get to Rosemont!
