that's great, TanDan -- much anticipation here for the weekend at the Fox and GabbaFest activities. Also, as long as folks are talking about Chicago, and other artists, I'd like to say Magic Slim (and the Teardrops) is some of the baddest, rippinest, meanest blues I've EVER seen live, especially comin' from a nearly 70 yr. old man who, IMO is a legend. Too bad they're out on tour (these guys still travel about as much as the dtb) right now, but will return to Chi-town in December I think. Oh, and fwiw, Warren has sat in with this cat. Magic Slim, man, he's bad and nationwide. here's some info. on him --- one heck of a career (but the music speaks for itself): http://www.blindpigrecords.com/artists/Magic+Slim.html And, WoodyCa, on SRV ... your comment made me think of an absolutely killer SRV video out there "live at the el mocambo" (1983) ... well, Stevie smokes the place, man -- Out of this world -- but the other guys, drummer Chris Layton, and bassist Tommy Shannon ... they damn hold it down, and more. (well, kinda like Govt. Mule if ya know what I mean, when they were a 3 piece)
