CrazyJoe--Doyle Bramhall II is absolutely the real deal. His dad, Doyle, Sr., used to co-write w/Stevie Ray Vaughan. Doyle's a monster player, great singer, great writer. I'm not sure what his latest is, but maybe check out "Jellycream", a 1999 release. Very good stuff. Or his old band, the Arc Angels (w/Charlie Sexton along w/SRV's rhythm section). They did a real fine album in '92 that has a tune "What Tomorrow Brings", I think is the name, about losing SRV. That one chokes me up to this day.
I bought Roy Buchanan's "Amercian Axe" and "Live in Tokyo" not too long ago. American Axe is awesome. Live in Tokyo is good, but I feel the performances are better on Axe. CrazyJoe, if you're not into Roy yet, man, you gotta check him out. Might've been the baddest...
