If you ever want to feel as if you are a ghost, try finding the Tom Dowd DVD at Curcuit City or Media Play. Here it is just days after the release and I am asked 10 times to repeat the title. I guess if Britney Spears isn't included, the zombies go into culture shock. Seriously, both stores have salespersons that outnumber the customers. You end up feeling like you are trapped in a Pac-Man game! They will hunt you down and robotic-ly ask if they can help you. One can not even browse quietly without one of the cyborgs approaching you as if you can not read or understand item placement. Such a headache...I was told the Tom Dowd DVD came out long ago and that they don't have it even though I pointed out that it was on their company website for $19.99. Like the robot on 'Lost In Space' they all went into this denial dance where I was the one that was wrong. " That does not compute, Will Robinson!" Curcuit City's sound level was beyond painful. I think the flight deck of an aircraft carrier is bliss compared to that store! Chucky Cheese on acid is what it was! Techno-rap garbage. I couldn't even talk to one of the zombies in peace. As I walked out of Media Play in bewilderment, I did spy a 'John Kay and Friends' DVD released this year. What a treat that was! I saw him at the Agora Ballroom once, across from The Fox. Does a great version of "Hoochie Coochie Man' and his Hammond B3 player was very good on the DVD. I'll have to order the Dowd DVD from the web...now if I can only get an asprin large enough to remove the headache those places gave me. :wall: (and no...I don't want some cheese to go with this whine)
