Good morning. I recently posted to the guest book, asking why Tom Dowd isn't in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Jack (from London, Ontario) responded and said it was because Tom had a feud with Rolling Stone honcho Jann Wenner and was blackballed. Obviously, Tom Dowd belongs in the RRHOF as much or more than anybody in it, especially since the criteria listed for induction includes ``recognizing contributions of those who have had a significant impact on the evolution, development and perpetuation of rock and roll...'' Anyhow, I figure it's up to us to do something about it -- considering everything Tom did for us, it's the least we can do. So I'm suggesting a letter writing campaign, since the RRHOF Foundation, which handles the nominating process, doesn't have an e-mail address. I encourage everybody who lives and loves on this website to jump on the Tom Dowd bandwagon. The address is: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, 1290 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY, 10104.
