Horace, My own opinion about the sick, sick interest in the Peterson murder trial is that all of the attention comes because everybody involved is good looking. If you ask me, this Peterson cat is just a regular Joe Schmo, but he's had his mug all over the Enquirer and similar ragazines. It don't hurt that the mistress is something of a blonde bombshell herself. I read the papers, and I know a few folks who have been jurists in murder trials. For the average person, a trial usually (in Birmingham, anyway) will only go on for a week or two. But with all of the publicity generated, celeb's (pro athletes, movie stars and GOOD LOOKING FOLKS) seem to merit more time for their case to be heard. Either this is a total unnecesarry burden to the taxpayers, or the run-of-the-mill types aren't given the same attention and consideration. This is my own opinion.
