Hello Everyone!
I read the guestbook all the time but rarely post. I learn so much about great music old and new from everyone here. You guys are such a great bunch of folks. I got to meet a good bunch of you at the Beacon this year while hanging with Josh and Leon. Wow Good Times! The Oteil/lamdog jam is still fresh in my mind. (Pretty sure it was lamdog or one of the dogs)
I put our guestbook and fan base at the top of the heap and challenge anyone to put their favorite bands' website up against ours...Pure Class! Lana and the Peach Crew just plain ROCK!!!! Thanks for all you do!
I am exhausted from jamming too late last night so I barley have the energy to continue my post so bear with me.
I wanted to find out who was really getting screwed with this new Law so I did some research. I think some folks maybe getting their info from the wrong places. I hate to see such a great bunch of folks bicker when they may actually be on the same side.
Some things I learned:
The employer who pays a person a salary under 23,600 and has them working over 40 hours/week has to PAY UP. A nurse that is paid by the hour (majority) is not affected. A nurse that agreed to a salary under 23,600 and is working a ton of hours should be compensated and now a Law is established to ensure it happens.
