gee, i hope no one took MY comments as hostile. i felt really bad for them when i saw them. they seemed to be struggling to connect with the usually very responsive Visulite crowd, and i chalked it up to just an off-night, being a LONG ways out on the road trip & simply being worn out.
it's also a funny thing about the size of the stage. it's not an easy thing at all to move from a club or theatre size room, and stage, to a shed sized situation. i've seen bands that i think are as powerful as they come struggle when faced with a giant, open-air sea of opening act empty seats, or disinterest.
