Anyone going to The Borgata show? If you do and you plan on gambling in addition to the show do one of two things, bring your ATM card or take a cab to the Boardwalk. My wife and I went there to spend our anniversary night on the 13th of August. CSN was playing at the Event center. The slots were horrible and the tables worse. The smallest minimum table was $15 and they were impossible to get on with only 3 - 4 in the whole casino per game. Even the $25 tables had no openings. The slots rarely gave back. The bargains of the night were dinner at the Old Homestead Steakhouse (great meal) at $175 for the two of us and The Gypsy bar. The Gypsy bar had a cover band playing that was excellent. No ABB but they did do Sweet Home Alabama. We actually stayed here for a few hours to stop the losses at the slots and tables. Finally took a cab to the Boardwalk and made some money back on Blackjack as my wife hit a few times on roulette. Still lost money but felt better about it. A bottle of champagne delivered to the room at 3 am cost one arm and one leg each. Limped out of the place in the morning and still had to pay a Valet charge. Apparently we did not lose enough to get it comped. Ate breakfast on the way home in Tuckerton, NJ because we did not want to donate any more of our earnings to the Borgata. So take my advice. If you are staying the night stay and play somewhere else that is more gambler friendly. Enjoy. Be safe, John
