Patrickcrenshaw, I hear ya! I had put the radio on to z93 on my way to get some morning joe, walked back by and they must've been playing an ok song becuase I didn't notice the change at all. Later as I walked by I heard the most horrible sounding music I'd ever heard. Sounded like a Jewel-want-to-be-on-acid playing an accordian!(must've been Dave Matthews..) I was cussing under my breath, blaming my kids and even the cat for messing with MY SETTINGS. I must've fiddled with it for 15 minutes getting madder and madder. I even ran out to the car and put z93 on out there--UUUGGGHHH! Same junk pretending to be music. And no DJ's, just pretaped commercials for DaveFM.
I guess 96 Rock is taking full advantage of the change because I caught the same Allman Brothers six-pack of songs that you must've caught. It's worse than having your favorite beer store go out of business and you know that you live in a dry county. I thought I was in a bad Twilight Zone episode!
*"Exhibit A...a man wakes up in the morning to a world he has spent a lifetime running from...a world of late 1980s techno dribble...a land where the word Jam refers only to a rap artist...a world where drum machines rule...a world where every answer to a radio trivia question recieves the same answer:"Who cares ?...." Welcome to DaveFM. Another nail in the coffin of Atlanta classic rock radio!!!"
:freaked: <---will have to do. Couldn't find a smiley of me opening a vein.
* to be spoken as if you are Rod Sterling, perhaps?
