Hey this place has some great threads goin'. David Bromberg, loved his version of Come Into My Kitchen where he starts omitting select words like the old children's
song Bingo. It winds up bing a tad risque.
I always wondered what became of him.;)
On the "Hippie Country" thread, I may be getting a little off base, but I have always loved the Outlaws esp. the first three lps. They are probably more in line with the Eagles, who before they became so damn successful were pretty cool. The Outlaws' Hurry Sundown has finally come out on CD. Folks this is a great record. However, it appears that the Outlaws are no strangers to petty BS like some other well known southern band. On the liner notes to the Hurry Sundown CD Billy Jones, founding member and best song writer IMHO, isn't even mentioned in the liner notes. I realize that Billy committed suicide, but that's no way to treat a brother. Huey, Henry, Gregg and Butch every thing that you do will come back to you. Anyway those digging the Brothers or "hippie rock" pick up Hurry Sundown and que up Night Wines or Man of The Hour. I promise you won't be dissappointed. Hello to my buds!
Peace y'all and god bless every one.
