Hey there sweet family, Ok, I'm a little slow to surface from the road, but I'll pop up enough to tell you one of my favorite stories from it: Oteil and I decided to head to the ballpark in Appleton early Saturday to catch Chris Robinson & New Earth Mud. Not wanting to bother the runners, we called a cab. When it arrived, a young couple was already inside ... on their way to the concert. The girl had given her fiance tix for his birthday present. :inlove: When Oteil opened the door and asked if they minded if we shared the cab with them, they almost died! 😮 I swear, their eyes got the size of neon beach balls. And what was the first question they asked??? "Is Derek playing tonight?" No kidding! :laugh: For the next fifteen minutes Oteil talked with them about anything they wanted to. When the cab pulled up at the Stadium and we all got out, he autographed their tickets with a sincere "God Bless, Oteil". They wanted to buy us a drink, but Oteil said, "Y' know, back when I didn't have any money I'd have taken you up on that. Now I'd rather you have a drink, then take the money you'd have spent on me and give it to the bartender as a tip and tell him "That's from Oteil." Which I bet they did.
