Indy..... We drove the 4 hours from StL into a tornadoe like cell which had cars and trucks pulled over for 20 miles +.....power was out in a few small towns along the way, visiblity was slim to none, we kept on. My daughter is 13 her first show and my buddy Randy Gibbs who has the Missouri license = MTN JAM is acting as Driver Neal. Scott's description was the best and very accurate. Here are a few observations from my head and heart: Oteil has lost 15 lbs and looks great !! Gregg was wearing a baseball hat.....probably worried about his hair getting wet. Hot 'Lanta and Rocking Horse were my personal highlights. Jaimoe's drumming = BRISK is the word.......love his accents and fills. Gregg totally messed up the end of One Way Out which wasn't a big deal.....the rain was a coming fast and the lightning was everywhere = kinda kewl to be honest. Set list was nothing special at all - kind of a text book show but they played their hearts out but appeared sort of tired from the road and the west and maybe the 30 minute E-Reed the night before. Steak 'n Shake at Midnight........oh yeah! Then at the Cracker Barrell breakfast the next morning (we slept an hour out of town) the waitress was all upset becase she didn't make the show......she was a Bonaroo attendee = small world filled with peachies. Another great show and my daughter's first = gotta love that !!
