KISS is most certainly not out on the road to pay back old debt. If I had to hazard a guess, Gene and Paul are each worth over $100M. Next to Mick & Keef, Gene & Paul are probably the most business savvy "musicians" on the planet. In fact, I bet at KISS, Inc. that the business comes before the music. I don't know enough about the ABB and their old catalog, but I thought they didn't lose on a technicality, but lost b/c they had signed their rights over to Walden, which Polygram obtained when they bought Capricorn's assets. Again, I don't know enough about the situation, and I know Walden had some blatant conflicts-of-interest being the band's manager and lawyer and owner of the band's record label all at the same time, but I don't think conflicts of interest negate the validity of contracts either. I think you (the ABB) have to go after the person with the conflict of interest and sue for damages, but the ABB couldn't do that b/c Walden's entity (Capricorn or the management "company" ) went bankrupt, and thus was judgment proof. As they say, doo doo occurs.
