Red Rocks was a blast! Saw both nights. Cant add much to all the comments that are already here, but was wondering, was that lil Charlie that wandered his way across stage on Saturday night? We got lucky on the weather... No rain, just a few sprinkles and a wind that kept things cool. Rainbows on both nights had the fans pointing. Colorado is good for Rainbows, and dark starry skies. Any guest appearances at the Chris Robinson Fox late night shows?? Would have liked to have seen those, but Im a guy who has always valued his sleep. Still all wound up form the weekend! Loved the Derek/Warren guests spots in the SCI Sat. night show... Pickin Up The Pieces was fun too. All in all a great way to enjoy the weekend! Saw a few comments on Michael Kang's mandolin playing. To be truthful he is one of the reasons I enjoy SCI's music. He has a different style, but it shines in his own environment. I really like it. I reccomend their "Carnival 99" live CD. Its what I pull out when I want some Cheese. Great versions of "Footprints" , Dont Say" "Birdland" and a very cool song called "Texas". "Lester's Rant" and "Jellyfish"are a bit different in my opinion. I like SCI best I think when they are jamming on some of the jazzier songs. Oh well, there is my two cents.... thought I would drop it in here. Later...
