Hey there sweet family, Romantics out there (like me :blush: ) might like like to know that Clark Gable/Carole Lombard and Vivien Leigh/Laurence Olivier stayed at The Georgian Terrace for the premier of Gone With the Wind in Atlanta. Actually, the entire cast and crew of Gone With the Wind stayed there during the time they were in Atlanta for the first premier of GWTW. The Georgian Terrace is also where they had their premier party. Although it's right across the street, The Fox did not host the premier because it was bound to 20th Century Fox films only (thus the name). Back in the '30s theatres, movies, and distribution were all bound together. The premier of GWTW was held at Loews Grand Theatre in Atlanta on December 15, 1939. Loews is not in Atlanta anymore.
