Lee Roy Hot Damn Parnell! do you see this little Brother, Thank-You , we LOVE you! both LRP shows of a lifetime..you are so spoiling us... In my wildest dreams I couldnt imagine spending such a beautiful Father's Day weekend ever again in this liftime. Thanks to God, and a few good friends, Kevin and my spirits soared ...I know Ive said this before, Lee Roy Parnell, the man, grand slide guitarist, and singer-songwriter, is one in a million...like our beloved Brothers....He cannot be denied....Thank you too, all the fine, good-hearted people of the great states of Tennessee and Georgia, an old sweet song...made me feel right at home...Welcome to Bobby Whitlock! please stay...I cant think of anyone whose insight would be more welcomed here....Our passion runs hot and our opinions may clash, but for the most part, we tell the truth... thats what I love.....and my sweet Kevin smiling! Kevin loved EC in Hot Lanta....and even more so ....the absolutely most indcredible 30 minute show I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing.....Jimmie Vaughan and Lou Ann Barton were brilliant! There is no way Im living without seeing Jimmie again asap. Treat yourself right...go see Jimmie! the Texas guitars got it going on..Dickey and Duane must have been miracles, the Texans all are...It is their birthright. We had the pleasure of Brother James Pennebaker's playing ( hell yeah, he sang Linda Lou) with Lee Roy at the Chattanooga show. James is as fine a guitarist as is out there. Honky Kat, whats the name of that country song LR sang on the Tn River..It was just gorgeous! His vocals are so rich and sweet...like Otis and BB....like Floyd Miles and Gregg and Dickey ...Lord have mercy..when LR feels like singing, standback. I love Eric Clapton...He is a good man and he has suffered more than his share..It is not natural for a Father to bear the terrible cross of burying a child. I believe I witnessed one of the greatest moments in Rock history when Little Jimmie took EC in his arms ,sweeping him nearly off the ground, in a Texas-sized bear hug....Like Gregg and Dickey of old..best friends...I could feel their love from the rear of the Phillips Arena..and it felt fine. EC's genius in songwriting and the luciousness he brought to the Blues..The generations of Bluesmen he inspired to greatness, he is one of a kind...If he seems frail and gentle, so be it. His setlist was magnificent..I wish I were truer a fan and could have appreciated his show more, but he never stood a chance with me, not after LR, damned sure not after Jimmie....Only Dickey holds that key. Let it Rain, one of my all time favorites, followed by Hoochie Coochie Man...Did I already say one of my favorites? His setlist is over the top...That he is being loved up in the arms of his fans, thank goodness for that ..May God bless.....I could not be more thankful to be blessed with this second oportunity to have seen him perform... Speaking of which...I need ABB tix!!!!!!! whats the deal? Im not good at computer games..Someone please have mercy on me, whats the trick to getting Fox tix for 2, hopefully all 3 nights? Love to ya'll, Ca ps..to David and Libby..I bet even ole Ray cryed tears of joy saturday night rain in heaven....
