I always felt that when Mark and Frankie played, they played well together. Although there were 2 guys on various drums, they were not just copying Butch, Jaimoe and Mark Q. That difference in style (along with Kris on sax), helped give Dickey's band some sonic differences, even when doing ABB tunes. I haven't been to a show yet this season, so I will have to wait to form an opinion. Maybe we just need some time to get our ears in tune with the new sound that Great Southern has...maybe we're just making a comparison to last year's band, which I think sounded great! Mitch
