ATGD isn't exactly complimentary about Robbie Robertson, either. It's hard to watch The Last Waltz the same way after reading about his massive ego. Almost ALL of the band close ups in the film are of him, with almost none of Richard Manuel and very few of Garth Hudson, Levon and Rick Danko. Robbie really comes across as being a very vain person.
From a credit standpoint, it's interesting that some of the same gripes Levon had about who wrote what are same types of complaints that were levelled at Dickey by Butch.
Something about drummers maybe?
