My father is also a World War II veteran that went in on the beaches of Normandy.....he wanted to return this year, but we decided with the unrest in the world that we would not travel to Europe this summer....(I really think that he wanted to go back to see if he could find any of those cute French gals that he knew when he was there...this was before he and my mother were married!!).....
