AMEN hotlantatim. I can't express enough how much I love Mike Mattison with the DTB! From the first time I heard him in Clearwater, I was hooked. I love how the two of them first met, too. Derek had heard from two different people (no connection to each other) that they thought they found a singer that would be a good fit for the the band. Turns out they were both referring to Mike. A package about Mike was sent to Derek to look over. He was in NY at the time and was walking down the street when he saw Mike come up from the subway. He recognized him from the picture in the package he had just looked at and called after him. Mike said he normally never turns around when someone's calling in the street (like most of us NYers!) but did that time to find it was Derek. And the rest, as they say, is history!! A good fit? I'd say!
