That all makes sense - just seems to me that there's a TON more that goes into the final product..using input/parts from other band members, etc...that add to the song - seems more sharing would happen. There are 1000s of examples but the slide in AWTNM or 'Don't Keep Me Wonderin' come to mind....
Wouldn't it be nice to just be able to write ONE #1 song - then collect the royalties for the rest of your life. I still stay someone will latch onto Warren's 'I'll be the One' and take it somewhere - that song knocks me out every time.
