Well I'm back from a one day absence and all I can say is WOW. On Sunday From 4:04 am to 6:09 pm there were 16 total posts by 9 people on the GB. 16 posts in 14 hours. Pretty Slow day. 4 of the 9 people who posted made a “who” reference regarding Pam’s Conversation w/ Jaimoe. I made one after a post regarding DB. I said I was kidding and I was. To those who were offended, I pity you. It’s humor. Not near as offensive as a lot of the BS that flies here. And for the record, I thought about it. I thought it was funny even though it is a sensitive topic. I even said to myself it’s a pretty slow day lets see who is paying attention. Glad I could liven things up. It’s actually a conspiracy, Gregg & Butch send me their dirty old t shirts every time I make a controversial post because it brings more people to the web site. I didn’t say I was glad DB is gone, I’m not. I think it is a damn shame that it had to happen but it did. I pointed out that it was just a joke. So far it looks like there were a lot more people that had scrolled back far enough to Pam’s Post about Jaimoe and understood I was joking than not. Red Dog, Nothing has turned me against Dickey. You said the damage was done. I didn’t realize I had damaged him. Apparently he is not as tough as I thought. You listen here dude I appreciate DB’s conributions to the ABB as much as ANYBODY on this site including you. In fact I’ll accept even more flames by saying I am one of the few people who will tell you that DB’s work on LAFE is every bit as important as Duanes. In fact it is DB’s solos on WP, YDLM & several other songs that I like best. It was a joke that played on the “who?” thread that Pam started by accident based on a coversation w/ Jaimoe. If the post before mine had been about Gregg or anybody else I would have said “who?” It just wouldn’t have been as funny since they haven’t fired him yet. I make a simple joke based on a thread of humor floating around. At least I wasn’t giving the Greatest Living White Blues Singer Pointers on How to sing (wind sprints LMAO). Nor did I tell Marc he was overplaying. Nor did I comment on the lack of musical communication between Warren & Derrek. That’s right it was YOU who said all that. I wonder how they are even making out on stage without your advice. Give me a break. It was joke, maybe a bad one but I would make it again. DB is out of the band and WE CAN NOT CONTROL THAT. There are 4 people that can change that so we should not contemplate anything that assumes we can affect that situation. We can talk about it, we ought to be able to joke about it. Offensive? Maybe so but you my friend have offended a lot of people in your own time. You even published some of your offensiveness. I thought it was funny. I know others who found it offensive. You know they don’t have to read it if they don’t want to. And BTW you requested and got a check for $20 and you cashed it. I have it as a keepsake and will cherish it like other ABB related keepsakes that I Have. Now I have dissed the dog again. Bird says that is a no no and I am sure he is right. However I find it hard to understand why the Dog is off limits when he has dissed current band members on more than one occasion. Perhaps He can Diss it out but his fans can’t take it. I don’t know. But there a far more important things to get worked up over than a joking “Who is DB”. That I know for sure. Skyponydogboy – Damn that’s mouthful to type, I have always felt that respect is earned and have no doubt I have a great deal of respect for DB. I made a joke. Lighten up. If you had read the posts leading up to it you might have understood it. You may not have liked it and that’s fine. I may not like all of your posts but I don’t claim to know anything about you. And I guarantee you my attitude is not typical of anything you have ever seen here or anywhere else. Along with Birds Punishment I too will Erect a Great Big Dickey in my back yard. I don’t think the neighborhood association is gonna approve it though Thank You Dino Smiling Jack , Pam as well as all the folks who did not take offense. And The Great One Put it Best…. Oy... I took KCJimmy's post to be a good natured follow-up to Pam's story about Jaimoe continually asking her, "Who?" Sorry RedDog and SPDB, but I think y'all just missed the joke.
