Edge, I would love to see EC with Warren, but I don't think EC would get on the same stage with him. As I said in previous post, I don't think you will ever hear Clapton play Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad live again. I think that was a very painful period for him and he doesn't want to revisit that pain, which I totally understand. But somebody said most great art is born out of great pain, so it becomes a question of art versus craft. I have no problem shelling 100 bucks for a show-I have gone to the Beacon the last three years (except this year-what a year to miss) and in 2002 I saw 11 ABB shows from SF to NYC. But with the ABB I know I will always get my moneys worth and there will always be an air of unpredictability before each show. I just expect for that kind of money to see a once in a lifetime event-One For Woody or something of that magnitude. I also wouldn't have a problem if a portion of it went to charity, which I have heard Eric is doing with some of his profits for this tour. I think he is a great man-he is a survivor, he is compassionate and cares about others less fortunate than he is, and unlike many rock stars he puts his money where his mouth with the rehab facility that he built in the Caribbean. I just wish he would break a few strings once in a while instead of always playing so NICE.
