Happy Birthday Brofan, Southpaw and PONYGIRL? Where the heck is she????? Yowza.... We're going to take One Way Out and go for a country drive today in the Bronco...... take my own advice. That is such a great CD, I am shocked I am so overwhelmed, having heard audience tapes so much of this stuff, but hearing it so crisp, with the audience muted out during songs, is so nice. These guys are playing like someone said, a swiss watch at times..... amazing orchestration and a big band thing to me.... Josh had a great write up, then Butch explaining the dynamics, other great reviews, it is hard to articulate, Rick T did an awesome OWO review, so I won't try, but these cats are making some amazing sounds. In my perfect world thing Dickey would somehow be in a mix with the Bro's and all, but since that is lala land stuff, this incarnation is pretty amazing...... and definitely venturing into territory they didn't before, with a tightness they havn't shown since the Duane era. I think there needs to be a Two Way Out, Mountain Jam and the other 20 they could put on it..... I also think we need a Jack Pearson era retro release, give that Jack some play, he is the unsung ABB hero....... who never got the glory.....
