Johhny Neel was great on Seven Turns. I thought he added alot to the music. His twinkling of the ivories on the MTV Unplugged version of Seven Turns is one of the things that makes that my fav rendition of that classic tune. Just great stuff. Overall though, Johnny did not do it for me with the ABB. The 1989 tapes have got Johnny doing some extended synthesizer solos (including during Whipping Post). His solo on Jessica just didn't cut it...too weird for me. By 1990, the synths were gone, but his playing still didn't fit for me. Of course, Chuck L is the one & only piano player for the ABB in my book. The 2001 tapes w/Chuck are just wonderful. Here's to hoping that he sits in this year (Atlanta?).... Tim
