MSNBC has an article on their webpage naming the 10 greatest Rock and Roll bands of all-time. The Brothers received an honorable mention. Thank you to all who contributed reports from the Beacon. Although I don't post much, I checked in everyday to see what I missed. Wish I would've been there. I loved Jonny Neel's work on Seven Turns and I am glad to see he is still in the extended family. If he ruined one song, (which I doubt) oh well. I also picked up the live album last week and really like Wasted Words. That is one song I didn't get to hear at all last year. I especially like the opening bass lines. It also made me go check out the lyrics to this song. Boy, was I way off. When Dreams came on, I had to think for a second, which cd I was playing. Really made me think of the Atlanta Pop Festival cd. One band I would like to recommend would be Indigenous. I saw them for the 2nd time last week in Philly. Mato Nanji is as good a guitar player as I've seen. That's not a knock of anyone else, he is just that good. A Philly radio station last week was trying to come up with great songs to drive to. What do you think is the Allman's best driving song? Southbound comes to mind.
