guys, your indiscreet and VERY public comments about something that everyone in the theatre saw and heard suggest the degree of kindness in your hearts, and speak to who you are as men. decisions are made by people who are in the position to make them, understand the consequences, and are part of the experience. warren haynes, among others, walks the walk of kindness. attend enough beacon shows, and you'll see it year after year. during that part of the show, i was SMILING, because the love & kindness -- the courage to reach a hand out to an old friend, a former bandmate, a fellow musician -- was, yet again, apparent. whatever the results, from wherever you were. the portion of my ticket price that went to that part was VERY well-spent. don't hold your breath waiting to be asked to join the band. being an old friend who may be a little down and out is one thing, but i understand the band now stands united against mean people. y'all stand up and erase your shamefully pseudonymous posts -- everyone involved in what y'all are crying about was right up there with a name and a face for god and the world to see, unlike y'all's LETTERS here -- which show you in a terribly unflattering light, and i'll cheerfully erase mine. SHAME on you, heaping abuse on someone that way. you paid your money, you bought your right to have your opinion, but so did i, and here it is. the rest of you, if i tried to tell you how spectacularly good it was, you just wouldn't believe me. all i can say is that i thought the band had a pretty impressive learning curve going last summer, after this weekend, it's going up so fast i can't even gauge the steepness of the angle. hey proved they can do ANYthing they want, and do it better than EVER. i was blindsided by how good it was, and the least of the 4 shows i saw was better than i had any right to expect.
