with all due respect, the front of the loge is ALWAYS sitting. i know, because on a couple of notable occasions, i've been there and stood and danced the entire show -- it helps to have a very large friend seated directly behind you if you must do that -- and well, what can i say? the loge is where people go to sit. even though i'm a stand and dance person, not a one of you can say that that person SITTING there isn't enjoying the music as much, or MORE than you.
incidentally, when my back gives out and i have to sit for a while, i try to make a point to let the peron in front of me know that's NOT a signal that i want them to stop dancing. someday, when i'm really old and worn out and CAN'T stand and dance anymore (which could be anydaynow) I'm looking forward to sitting in the midst of the dancing throng and groovin on their vibe and nergy.
sorry for the lecture. i can't WAIT to get up there, and i'm disappointed tofind, in the midst of the revels here, people trashing others for behaving diferently than they you think they should.
(incidentally, i can spell, i just have a unusually sticky keyboard today. and trashing is a strong word -- substitute your own, so the point isn't lost on semantics of 'trashing' 'mocking' whatever. our family takes casual fans to the shows here in charlotte every year, and they always find the crowds to be fun, respectful, encouraging, tolerant, safe, relatively family friendly, and happy, and come away surprised that whatever stereotypes they had of the band and the audience weren't at all what they experienced when they took a flyer and came to the show!)
