Brothers and Sisters! Sisters and Brothers! Praise the Lord and pass the macaroni and cheese! Just got back from doing my usual running around on my day off, and in the middle of all this I somehow managed to stop by Circuit City and pick up "One Way Out." (For $15.99, by the way.) After just a quick listen to disc 1 in the car, what can I say? Did someone write on the homepage that this cd was essential? Did that same person also write that this is the best live band bar none? Oh Yeah! Oh Yeah! Oh Yeah! From what I have heard so far I would put this up there with "Live At Fillmore East." (That's right, you heard me.) It really captures what this band is all about right now. You can feel the joy these guys have in playing with one another. Desdemona is magnificent. Wasted Words is a great surprise. Good Morning Little Schoolgirl will knock you on your seat. And the sound is magnificent; Michael Barbiero and Warren know how to make the best of this band come across. I can't wait to hear disc 2.
