Re: the Clapton thing....he would be left in the dust by Warren and Derek. Old Eric hasn't been pushed since Duane and he seems to like it that way. Outside of an occasional (as in VERY seldom) burst of fire EC pretty much sticks to the middle of the road these days. I don't think you will ever hear him play Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad again. And if he he did, it would be nowhere near the intensity of the Layla version or the one from the original Derek and the Dominos In Concert CD, still the definitive version IMHO.
