GABBA weekend.....JFC and his lovely daughter were great companions Friday. Ate at the H, Red Dog was there when we walk in, Sista Bluz at the next table over, Big Windy (Happy Bday, bro, to you and Nancy!) calls while we are there. Take the pilgrims on a little tour of ABB Macon and then settle in at the Rookery for happy hour (Pint sized gin and tonics!). Carol and Kevin come by and join us, as well as Luke and Gina (?) and Timo and wife. Then we are joined by Skoots Lyndon and his son and it was just wonderful to be among such good people. After happy hour, we head over to the Douglas and meet up with Glenn B, Betty the blues mama, Carol Sista Bluz, Tom Seeks and the aptly named GW, Buppalo, and I am sure some others I am regrettably forgeting. Then me and JFC and daughter head up to Griffin, GA to see Barry Richman, and he is always overwhelming to see live. Yowza. Barry is as good as guitar playing gets. A master of the electric guitar. Like a cross between Chet Atkins and Hendrix. I recommend checking him out at www.barryrichman.com Saturday, I meet up with Carol and Kevin at the Big House and then go over to the H for a little lunch, where we see Duane Betts and BO, Jr, and that was very Twilight Zonish. All in all, a great weekend with fanatics and friends in Macon, where it all began. No jail for JFC and me, not that we didn't try. Today is Counselor Ron E's birthday and I hope he has a wonderful day! He couldn't be more than 25 or so. ;)EAPFP
