shineboy, I think Oteil was playing his signature Modulus bass last night. It was originally called the "O-Teal bass" -- but somehow wound up being purple. It's a Mod that has passive pickups and is a semi-hollowbody with f-holes.....both firsts for Modulus, I believe.
Off to NYC tomorrow afternoon. I'm hoping for True Gravity, Kind of Bird and High Falls on the instrumental side. Would love to hear Get On With Your Life on the blues side. An acoustic mini-set would be nice one night too (Fri. or Sat.). But I'm just dandy with whatever the boys decide upon (50 watt Fender combos would be super-cool too, on Derek and Warren's part).
Lookin' forward to meeting some new folks and seeing some familiar faces. Mr. and soon-to-be Mrs. GreatScott, Lee (from Meechigan), EasyMichael, Lana.....others too. Bring on the fun times !!! 😀 Happy weekending to others not Beaconing this weekend too. Thank Gawd for tapers to capture the magic for our ears to enjoy down the road.
