I probably am not as close to the day to day discussions here as many and sometimes miss days of a thread. I'm certainly not an expert in any kind of musical endevour except listening to what I love (you know who) I did respond a couple of days ago to RD's post and thought I agreed with Dawg on some points and dissagreed on others. I expressed, in neutral terms I thought, my opinion. Maybe I missed a bunch of posts but the one's I saw weren't overly abusive to Mr. Cambell. On the contrary I've always felt we all respect him a lot and recognize his place and contribution to ABB history. If you feel stung, you shouldn't. I don't think there is any doubt that your opinions, love for the band and the people are highly respected around here. As far as Ralph Nader goes, there are several candidates out there that are in line with my feelings than Kerry, BUT I think he has a chance @ beating George W. and being a life long, hard core Democrat I think splitting up the votes, similar to last time between independents and Democrates gave Georgie the opportunity to steal the election. To be frank, I'd vote for Brintney Spears to get him out of office. I will go to my grave beleiving that if GWB had enough brains to spend some time reading the Rand Corporations assesment of the Russian intervention in Afgahnistan and the resulting bankrupcy of the USSR we would not be there in the first place, as we are marching down the same path. Similar to 35 years ago I'll get accused of not supporting our troops and the country, but that is not the case. I want every damed on of our troops to come back alive TODAY! Let's have at it, we need a good political discussion. It will make the time 'till the Beacon go faster!
