This band individually is a lot better as a musician than they have ever been. Wow! High praise from you, brother. I just feel like it could be better and should be better as the Allman Brothers band. I can see more of what you're saying now. The key to the Allman Brothers has always been that the whole is more than the sum of the parts. No matter how good the individual players are, you need that ensemble chemistry to really hit the note. In my opinion, the "chemistry" between Warren and Derek has improved a LOT since 2001. The Lakewood show I saw last year had that "seven people playing as one" quality.
