Billy - I'm a huge Al Dimeola fan as well. If you like Elegant Gypsy you really need to get a copy of Splendido Hotel as well if you don't have it. I think it is even better although I agree completely with you assesment of EG.
Got to say though, he was also one of the greatest dissapointments of my concert going career. Wen to see him, Stanley Clark and Jean Luc Ponty a few years ago @ the Greek theater in LA and it was one of the more boring shows I've ever seen. (I know that is hard to beleive withthat line up)My wife and I walked in expecting full speed latin funk but it was all acoustic, every song sounded the same and the evenue was way to big for that kind of music.
