Howdy all Someone wrote: "Atlantic maverics Wexler and Ertegen) were taking market share from the biggies in LA and NYC. Disco was their way of taking back the market" ------what a small world 🙂 Last night I lectured on Ertegun, Wexler, and Dowd, and spent an hour discussing Atlantic, BMI, ASCAP, and Muddy 🙂 KCJimmy, my favorite Carpenter's track: "Goodbye to Love" with that wailing guitar solo closing out the last couple of minutes and KC wailing.......... As to disco, I have always appreciated the distinctiveness between American and European types. The former was more funk/soul driven, while the latter, still my favorite as Capn Skipper can attest, is more rock/symphonic.
