The first show thread was very exciting yesterday.so how about this one... Thinking back on all the live shows I have seen.....many come to mind as great, but the ONE show that will stand out in my mind forever was Great woods in 2002. I landed in Philly was was picked up by sherry and Mike. We went to the Camden, NJ show and met up with the sweeties. the next day we drove to MD for the Merriweather show...which was great, as usual. the next day we drove up to Mass for the Great Woods show. Met up with about a dozen freinds from the site and had THE best pre show party at Glen B's truck. so many, many people stopped by and we all had a great time. About 10 of us all had seats together for the show...Deep Banana Blackout opened and we caught the tail end of it....was too hard to leave the pre show party LOL. Anyway, I was sitting between peachmaniac and Glen B when the ABB takes the stage. I knew this was going to be a very special performance. the band takes the stage and I hear the first note and grab peachmaniac and Glen by the arms....OH MY GOD...they are opening with Whipping Post !!!!! We all totally freaked out !!!! I have seen about 100 live ABB shows since 1969 and NEVER had I seen them open with WP....when I think back on that show I still get chills. does anyone ever remember them opening with WP???????
