Alas, the old Guest Book is no more. It was fun hangin' there with a few die hards for the last few days, I must say. Lana and Rowland finally had to take the broom to us, though--had to happen sooner or later. Although it is my duty to report that Bird72 has chained himself to the front door of the old house, wearing nothing but a pair of black socks and a chinchilla thong. The reaction of the demolition crew was interesting. The foreman stormed off, muttering something about "not being paid enough for this s#@t." His assistant gleefully ripped off his Carhardt overalls, revealing his own heavy duty canvas thong. And the driver of the bulldozer asked Bird what he was doing after the demolition, saying that he knew a little place nearby where chained men in thongs and black socks were always welcome... I myself was able to secure some keepsakes from the old house: the "Rhymes with Donna" icon at the bottom of the page, a battered copy of the Harold Ray To English Dictionary, and my personal favorite, a Carolina Hurricanes jersey that Lana carelessly left behind when she went by to turn the lights off and check around one last time. Thanks, Lana--it fits me perfectly!:p So, with one last nod to the home that treated us so well for so long, I will offer my first B & P in our new digs. The Allman Brothers Band, 11/7/95, Civic Center, Augusta, Georgia. EAPFP, y'all.
