If my memory serves me correctly here is some info on Kirk on Z93 last night:
He played a great, cosmic "Liz Reed" from December of '81, a month before they disbanded, from Niagara Falls, New York. The DJ called it a Liz Reed for a rainy day, Kirk referred to it as a very "wet Liz Reed", which cracked me up. He also played the Same Thing from Darien Lakes ’03, Layla from Red Rocks ’03, Stormy Monday from Stony Brook 9/19/71, and Statesboro Blues from Syria Mosque 1/17/71. He stated that the new archive release would be available in “about a month,” he did not say what it was though. He indicated that the summer tour would probably begin in the beginning of July, that they were still working out the particulars because Warren had taken a “part time, summer job.” He made mention of the Beacon shows, the new live album from the Beacon, an upcoming Mule album, that Butch had a few things going on business wise that might turn out to be big things, and he said that the Brothers “would be working a lot this year.” I believe those are the high points, although I may be forgetting a couple of minor things.
Alright JNB how did I do? Did I win anything. More hints please!
On a different note, if anybody recovers one Goliath please return him home, he has seemed to gone missing. Where are you bro? You doing alright?
Take care,
Ryan
