good morning, everybody!
just saw this in a LS review:
For an encore, the band played the enduring song everyone came to hear, the soaring "Free Bird," originally a tribute to Duane Allman of the Allman Brothers. But with home movies of Ronnie Van Zant rolling on the video screen and a giant mirrored ball throwing flecks of light around the room, the song became a moving tribute to the band's late singer and guiding spirit.
Is that true? Was "Free Bird" originally a tribute to Duane?
