Yeah Scott.....I'd estimate the Music Midtown crowd at close to 40,000 that day. We got a great Statesboro Blues that day as well as Blue Sky. That was also the day I really *connected* with Sailing Across the Devil's Sea for the first time.... I also remember Gregg sounding so good on Please Call Home as his voice carried over the festival grounds. I tell ya, I've never traded for 5/7/00. I'm not the biggest fan of most of the 1998 - Spring 2000 tapes I have. The shows were real fun and there were some mindblowing moments (High Falls, True Gravity), but the tapes leave something to be desired as far as tightness & vocals (harmonies minus Rev Haynes). But, I enjoyed the HECK out of that last show with Dickey. I want to remember it just as I experienced it & not let a tape detract from that. It was a glorious day.
