Hope everyone had a soul satisfying Easter Sunday. for AIQ in Mobile....Bro, without "war freaks" you would not be posting your comments so freely. for Betts in PA... I was'nt at the Beacon this year but I understood your mentioning that the Warren/Derek configuration of the band did not put you "over the top". I have seen several shows with the same lineup and while I enjoyed the music it did not put me "over the top" or take me away as past shows have done. I miss that. BETTS-WOODY on CMT....man, did I enjoy seeing this! Brought back many memories and made me dream of days gone by. Lord have mercy on me, but I reaally miss hearing Dickey with the best band this son of the South ever heard. In discussion this week with some of my bandmates, the topic of bass players in the ABB came up....for the record, I'll say I enjoyed Lamar second only to B.O. If you listen to the phrasing and the melody/counterpoint lines Lamar played, you will be surprised at how, in my opinion, melodic and flowing his style was. A really underrated, less-mentioned member of the 'Bros. 'nuff said. RED DOG.. thanks for the info on the Brothers and Sisters pic inside cover. most of these I knew but neat to know the unknowns in the family. Hope to see you soon...more later. The date for the BAMA PEACH JAM is confirmed for May 26, ...that's a Sunday in the middle of Memorial Day weekend. Done so that you out-of-towners have lots of travel time. More to Come! Location....Oneonta,ALA. Jammin', SPDB
