Hey now, Great Scott! Seems like another time I've been in your presence and didn't know it. I was at that '96 show as well. ( Remember, we saw each other at Huntsville in '00 and didn't know who we were?) Anyway you're right about a great show. I was playing in a charity golf tournament in Columbia being thrown by Dave Thomas (Wendy's fame) to benefit adoption. As soon as we finished the last hole, I jumped in the car and boogied up I-26 to Greenville and picked up my concert buddy - son Brandon. It was his third ABB show at the ripe old age of 12 at the time. Even he got off on that 35 min Elizabeth Reed. Back to the house after the show then off to Columbia for the second day's tee time at 8:00 am. That show gave me the motivation for one of my better days of golf doing my best Fuzzy Zoeller imitation whistling Elizabeth Reed whilst stomping around the course. I guess the point of the ramble is now two great things gone - Dave Thomas and his philanthropy and Greenville's "Old Brown Box".
